A German architect ‘Andre Brossel’ invented a solar power generator. His Company Rowlemon has created a spherical sun power generator prototype called the Beta.ey. its looks like a giant glass marble on a robotic steel frame. His technology will combine the spherical geometry principles with dual axis tracking system, This generator is a combination of technology and design, It can reach efficiency level up to 57% when compared to the conventional PV system.
About The Spherical Sun Power Generator
The spherical sun power generator is a solar energy capture device called Beta.ey. The development of Beta.ey is done by architect Andre and Rawlemon Ltd. Rawlemon is a technology company who develop next-generation mass concentrating photovoltaics And thermal modules.
The Beta.ray has a hybrid collector that convert daily electricity and thermal energy at the same time. Beta.ey works in day and night time, in the night time the balls lens converts into a lamp or LED. It operates at an efficiency level of 57% in hybrid mode. the design of beta.ey is fully rotational and is suitable for inclined surface, walls of building and anywhere where it turns exposed to the sky.
The Beta.ey is also be used as an electric car charging station. the station is designed for off-grid conditions as well as to supplement buildings consumption of electricity and a thermal circuit like hot water.
How It Works?
The spherical sun power generator is a dual axis sun tracking system. It can take energy from the sun and the moon also. The glass sphere is used to concentrate diffused sunlight rays into a small surface of the tiny solar panel. This solar panel is so small because of that its relative efficiency increased. the ball lens is able to concentrate and diffuse light on one small focal point. It is in an effect of photovoltaic technologies which uses multiple optical elements such as mirror and lenses to reflect light into a super concentrated beam that is aimed at a solar cell collector.
- Beta.ey can harvest up to 70% more solar energy than conventional CPV.
- It requires 4 times less energy than CPV to begin collecting energy.
- completely waterproof and can be used in any weather.
- can be used to harvest the energy from the moon also.
- can be used on an inclined surface.
There are many diffrent application the spherical sun power generator can be used for. some of this given below:
- Electric car charging stations.
- energy producing windows.
- autonomous power generators.
